Allergy Treatment
There are three basic approaches to allergy care:

Avoidance
-
This is the first (and most basic) step in treatment. When possible, you will avoid allergens. We know that all allergens can't be avoided, and that's where other forms of treatment come in!

Pharmacotherapy
-
This treatment uses medications to control allergy symptoms. Some medications include antihistamines, decongestants, nasal sprays, and more
Immunotherapy

When avoidance and medication do not control symptoms, an Otolaryngic Allergist can work to alter the body's response by carefully introducing the allergen to the patient's body using injections. Over time, it may be possible to actually alter a person's response to an allergen.
